The Asia-Pacific region is home to a population of three billion people, and has an estimated economic growth rate of seven per cent per annum. Nestled at the heart of this vibrant region is the city state of Singapore, host to over 80 local and International Non-Profit Organisations (INPOs), comprising inter-governmental organisations (IGOs), non-governmental organisations (NGOs) with a social, humanitarian or environmental focus, industry associations, philanthropic foundations, think tanks, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) organisations. An increasing number of social enterprises, which incorporate social or environmental causes in sustainable business models, and social enterprise platforms, have also called Singapore home.
The International Organisations Programme Office (IOPO) welcomes International Non-Profit Organisations who wish to set up base in Singapore to serve Asia's needs .
